Foot tattoos must be cared for in a certain way. Especially as they are healing. Foot tattoos are more likely to become infected then other locations on the body, which is another reason why some tattooist are reluctant to do them. Your new foot tattoo needs to be kept clean, dry and free from any dirt particles. You have to be especially careful to not let anything that will irritate it come into contact with it. This means that shoes or socks are not to be worn, or worn only occasionally if at all possible for at least a couple of weeks after the tattoo has been inked. And I am sure it has some particular significance in the tribal world but it is not apparent to those of us who are not extremely familiar with such things.

Heart Tattoos Design

Probably The best way to show symbolism of love is the heart tattoo. However the heart tattoo is a symbol that possesses other meanings as well and not just love. Here we have an image that gives us nine different versions of heart tattoos. And they range from hearts surrounded by vines to flowers, to a heart held by some sort of animal claw. A heart with devil horns and a devil tail and even a heart with a big steel knife sticking right through it. So even though there are only nine different heart tattoos here they pretty much cover the entire gambit of what can happen to a persons heart.

I never really understood why we consider the heart to be the center of our romantic insides. Why is it, that if someone breaks up with us we say our heart was broken? We all know that is not true, so why do we say it? And why do we feel it? Is it because our heart is the center of our physical life and therefore we make it the center of our emotional wellness, as well? I would suppose it is something like that. It covers this girl’s entire back and it catches the phoenix just as it is beginning to burn up in it’s own flames. The flames of renewal as they are known. These flames will kill the phoenix and leave nothing but the ashes from which the new and refreshed phoenix will arise from, to live once again. In some cultures the phoenix represents the rising and the setting of the sun. Each day, rising once again to bring life and to breath life onto the Earth below. And each do to die off again in the flames of its horizon.

Renewal is what it’s all about. A second chance at everything. At life, at love, at a good job, at passing in school. Or whatever it is that you love the most about your life. Yes, it really can stand for all those things but at the end of the day all it really has to stand for is what matters to you and only you. Feeling special yet? This phoenix tattoo is one of the best I have seen. Just purely as a piece of artwork it really is done with class and elegance. It is drawn to perfection and the rich colors and perfect shading throughout really sets it off. A big thumbs up to the artist who did this tattoo. Excellent work.

The phoenix is of course the great bird that is consumed each day by its own heat only to rise once again from its own ashes. A never ending, continued cycle of life and death. Much like the rise and fall of the daily sun which brings us life on a daily basis only to go away and allow us all to slip into darkness for the night. Many cultures have recognized one kind of a phoenix or the other in their mythology, sometimes calling it a sun bird, but it was very much the same thing. A large mythical bird who was born and died along with the rising and falling of the sun. Whatever the history is, this tattoo is an extremely cool one that I think anyone would be proud to have. It would certainly be a challenge to get a better one.

Flame Tattoo

Flame tattoos provide wonderful meanings and anyone who finds these tattoos on your skin will most likely give you some kind words. And these flame tattoos can have some very diverse meanings. They can say everything from, "Hey, I’m hot!’ to telling the viewer that you are a force to be reckoned with. And only with flame tattoos can you get a design that is not only beautiful but also seems to come alive. Since the dawn of time, man has always been fascinated with fire. And as soon as us humans got a chance we harnessed this unforgiving force of nature for our own purposes. And many religions have described flames as the symbol of death and rebirth. Look at the phoenix tattoos that so many perople are wearing nowadays. What would that design be without the characteristic flames engulfing the bird? When choosing a flame tattoo you should remember one thing. There are two types of fire-flame tattoos. One is the tribal tattoo and the other is the old-school tattoo. The flame tattoo in the picture is a perfect example of an old school tattoo. It’s bright and colorful with plenty of hues of red and orange.

Yeah I like these tattoos a lot, they look like it’s time for the party to begin. If you love fast cars and fast bikes, a flame tattoo is just the way to go. They look fast and furious with the flames and the skulls screaming bring it on world, give me all you got baby. Oh man I have seen a few guys with tattoos just like these and they are kicking big time. Everyone loves hot red flames on anything, give me a rock guitar or a hopped up fast car, add flames to them, you got one bad to the bone item their my friends. I think when I see a flame tattoo, it brings to mind the Hell Boy movies, and of course the skulls are totally awesome.

A great flame tattoo is worn by one of the rock guitarists out of a local band and he has his guitar painted the same way. So when you go see them live, the visual is hotter than Hades, I really love these tattoos, the color is just amazing. To me a super flame tattoo has to be placed right there on the arm so everyone can see it, but if you want to put a flame tattoo on your leg or back, no big deal, they will look good no matter where they are placed.

Hibiscus Tattoos

The design in the picture is a very well done hibiscus tattoo. The artist took this simple flower design and made it truly special with a burst of pink that just makes this hibiscus tattoo pop. Another thing that I really love about the design is that the artist didn’t go overboard with the leaves. He included one single solitary leaf that doesn’t overpower or detract from the beauty of the flower itself. Another cool element of this hibiscus tattoo is the white shading that has been put on the flower petals. I’m not sure how the artist achieved this incredible effect but it sure looks stunning. It gives the effect that the flower is being bathed in warm shafts of sunlight. It’s these little things that really make an ordinary design into something that is extraordinary. But, as much as I like this tattoo, there is one more element that I would have liked to see added to it. I think the addition of a butterfly or fairy would really make this design stand out. And do you know what would be really cool. Putting a night sky with a field of stars as the backdrop. That would really be the icing on the cake.

A hibiscus tattoo is the Hawaiian flower design which has many interesting meanings. A gift of hibiscus is believed to mean " seize the opportunity" . It also stands for delicate beauty as the bloom of the hibiscus is just open for a short period everyday. In tattoo art, it can also be seen combined with other Hawaiian symbols such as tiki, surfboards or sea turtles. Hibiscus tattoos is considered exotic and seems to represent a laid back style of life being link to the islands of Hawaii. But, an important consideration when getting a hibiscus tattoo is the color of it’s bloom. Different colors mean different things in flower language. For example, a yellow hue means jealousy, while a blue hued hibiscus tattoo means unrequited love. A red hibiscus tattoo symbolizes love and passion as it does with a rose tattoo. A white hibiscus stands for enlightenment and a purple hued one means material wealth or royalty. The bearer of this hibiscus tattoo has blended artistically the red and purple hued varieties. That can be translated using the rules of flower language but we’ll leave that to the bearer to attribute her own meanings to it, as she probably already has.

Funny Tattoos

Funny tattoos take on many different forms. They can be visual representations of jokes, funny looking characters or simply silly scenarios inscribed in ink. But, in any of these instances, the funny tattoo has to do one thing and do it immediately. And that enable the person to view it and instantly get the point of it. So, famous tattoos like two pigs engaged in sexual activity with the caption "Makin’ Bacon" easily fit into this criteria. Also, funny tattoos that are inked around the belly button so the belly button looks like another orifice (ie. a mouth, vagina or ass) also easily fits into this category. But, some funny tattoos are not so apparent and if your not familiar with the subject matter you might just miss the point altogether. Just take a look at the tattoo in the picture. It features the internet video called ‘Two girls and one cup’. Millions of people looked at this video and the tattoo is a pretty accurate description. But, as far as funny tattoos go I feel that it’s a little crude and not as hilarious as the bearer thought it would be. Now, a few years down the road it’s going to even less funny. And I would suspect that the bearer may eventually want to have it removed. Thus is the pitfall of getting a tattoo purely for it’s humor.

The cookie monster design in this funny tattoo is pretty original. I can honestly say that I have not seen this design before on anyone else. But, there are a few considerations to make before getting a quirky design or funny tattoo. The most important thing to remember is not to get ink done on the spur of the moment. You may be out with your friends and something absolutely hilarious pops into your head. Now, your first instinct may be to run out and get the design immediately drawn up and inked into your skin. But, that is not the appropriate way to get a tattoo done. What you need to do is take a few days or a few weeks and let the idea simmer in your mind for awhile. You need to consider the size of the funny tattoo and where it’s going to be placed on your body. You also need to consider how other people are going to react to your funny tattoo. But, the most important thing to consider is how you’ll feel about the design 5, 10 or 15 years down the road. You certainly don’t want to run out and get a design inked into your flesh on a whim. Otherwise your now funny tattoo can turn into tattoo regret later.

The spider tattoo in this picture is of a tarantula. Tarantulas are fierce looking and are the largest members of the spider family but are really gentle unless provoked. But, this spider tattoo takes on the symbolism of all members of the spider family. Spider tattoos can be seen as symbols of good luck or symbols of treachery and evil. It all depends on the bearers own personal views. Another thing that a spider tattoo symbolizes is a denial of the established order. It was often a symbol of the outlaw or someone who felt that they existed out of the norms of society. This meaning has pretty much fallen to the wayside as the spider tattoo entered mainstream society. Another meaning that has pretty much fallen away is the spider as a gang symbol. The spider and it’s web was once tattooed on inmates who have served time. But, now the spider tattoo can be seen on just about anyone, whether they are a criminal or not. So, the next time your looking to get ink done consider getting a tarantula spider tattoo. It’s meaning is whatever you want it to be or think it should be. Just enjoy it.

When it come to tattoo images we can be talking about virtually anything but in this case it would seem we’re talking about portraits. Perhaps even a portrait of an old movie starlet. Could this be Lana Turner or some other famous Hollywood star. I really don’t know. I’m just guessing. If you look at this tattoo closely you can see a few other much smaller faces below this lady but I cannot see them in enough detail to really get anything from them. So all they really do is ad more to the mystery of what we are looking at. Some tattoo images can be very misleading.
The only other significant thing I can see in this tattoo is that this woman appears to be smoking and I believe in the days women wore their hair like this it was frowned on for women to be smokers. But where does that lead us, right back to jump street. This one only goes to show us all that tattoo images can only show us so much and there are going to be those times when the person with the tattoo has to come out and explain exactly what it is meant to be.

David Beckham Tattoos

David Beckham has an extensive collection of tattoos and most of them are related to his wife and kids. Actually, David Beckham’s collection began with the birth of his eldest son, Brooklyn. He had his son’s name tattooed across his lower back. The second tattoo was what he has called a guardian angel, a human figure with arms outstretched, tattooed across his shoulders and down his spine. The tattoo is placed so that it appears to be looking down over the tattoo of Brooklyn’s name. Tattoo session number seven saw the addition of wings to this figure and the addition of his second son’s name, Romeo, just above the figure’s head. For his wife, David Beckham had his wife’s proper name "Victoria" tattooed on the inside of his left forearm in Hindi. David Beckham’s right forearm speaks more of his soccer career. The Roman numeral VII, for the number seven, is tattooed on the inside forearm. All of Beckham’s skin art has been done by Manchester tattooist Louis Malloy. Aside from David Beckham paying for Malloy’s airfare to Madrid to do the winged cross on his neck, Malloy has said he charges the same to David as he would any other customer.
